N.S.S. (NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME)

Notional Service Scheme (NSS) of Government of India operated by the Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune. The overall aim of National Service Scheme as envisaged earlier, is to give an extension dimension to the higher education system and orient the student youth to community service while they are studying in educational institution. Every year we have organized special camp around 25 students were involved for every camp. The following different activities were conducted during camp.

  • Village survey & History Writing
  • Gram Swachhata Abhiyan
  • Yuva Jagar Abhiyan
  • "Yog shibir" by Yog vidya dham, Pune
  • Save Girl Child Abhiyan
  • Water percolation by CCT
  • Tree plantation

  • We have also organized expert lectures on different topics like Personality Development, Rural Development, HIV/ AIDS, Prevention, Mahila Sabalikaran, etc. We also organized health check-up program for primary school students In village. As a part of regul ar activity, Our N.S.S. Volunteers organized blood donation camp, campus cleaning, temple cleaning and painting Mutha river cleaning etc. N.S.S. program provides a variety of learning experience which must develop a sense of participation, service and achievement among the students. As per Savitribai Phuie Pune University norms, N.S.S. volunteers will get additional ten marks after one year regular activity (120 hrs) and one special camp program. After completion of two years regular activities (240 hrs) and one special camp student will get N.S.S. certificate from Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune.
