Rules & Regulations:

  1. Project topic should be related to their respective technical department.
  2. A team of Minimum two Members is allowed to participate.
  3. Members should present their innovative ideas through Models and Flex Prints (3’X5’)
  4. The decision of judges will be final and binding to all participants.
  5. For the format for flex print. Contact with their concern co-originator.
CIVIL ENGINEERING

MODEL MAKING COMPETITION

“CONSERVING NATURE

                            INNOVATING FUTURE”

Civil Engineering Model Exhibition, under the concept “conserving nature innovating future” which provides a unique opportunity to all civil engineering students across India by facilitating them to showcase their research incorporating new technology via different models.

OBJECTIVES

  1. To introduce and demonstrate the latest developments in the research work of infrastructure, sustainability, construction, innovation, green building, etc.
  2. To provide the opportunity for promoting new innovative ideas
  3. All participating students will get a certificate of participation
  4. Certificate of Appreciation will be awarded to top performers 

Exhibition Models are invited on any topic associated with civil engineering. The topic can belong to any of the following fields:

  1. Structural Engineering
  2. Concrete Technology and Building Materials
  3. Geotechnical Engineering
  4. Transportation Engineering
  5. Construction Management and Methods
  6. Remote Sensing (GPS/GIS)
  7. Hydraulic and Water Resources Engineering/Ocean Engineering
  8. Sustainable Architecture

Rules & Regulations:

  1. A Group of maximum six students can participate in the exhibition.
  2. Detail of each participant is compulsory.
  3. All current bonafide undergraduate students undertaking research work in the field of civil engineering are eligible to participate.
  4. Each group can present only one model.

POSTER PRESENTATION

Venue:- C012

Entry Fees:- Rs.50/- Per Participant

Rules & Regulations:

  1. A poster must be on the full imperial sheet.
  2. Maximum 2 students will be allowed in a group.
  3. A group has to prepare a poster as per subject listed below.

Theme:- “Sustainable development to save earth”

  1. The poster must include brief knowledge of the subject in the form of images, photos, articles etc.
COMPUTER ENGINEERING

“ C ” CODING

“Get your fingers on your keyboard & use your brilliance to solve some of the

most innovative  “ C ” Programming problems.”

Venue:- Database Lab

Entry Fees:- Rs.50/- Per Participant

Rules & Regulations:

  1. This competition is open for all Students.
  2. Individuals or team of two participants will be allowed to
  3. All Participants are required to present a valid student identification card & receipt of
  4. Participants should report sharp at 9:30am at Database Lab.
  5. Total two rounds will be conducted and first round is elimination round.

                    Ist Round: Online “C” Technical Test (MCQ) (10:00am-10:30am)

                    IInd Round: Programming (11:00am-12:00pm)

 

  1. Each team will be allowed to use single PC only.
  2. Use of mobile phones and internet during competition will lead to disqualification.
  3. Participants must write their programs in “C”
  4. Teams should submit only a single solution to each problem.
  5. Decision of panel of Judges will be final.

 

ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING

ROBO-RACE COMPETITION

Venue:- Electrical Dept.(C002)

Entry Fees:- Rs.50/- Per Participant

Task:

  1. The robots will be provided by the institute.
  2. The rounds will be decided according to groups
  3. The robot-operator which Scores maximum points in minimum time will be the

Rules & regulations:

  1. The team should not consist of more than 2
  2. Once the race begins, four hand-touches are allowed, otherwise, the team will be disqualified.
  3. In case of any valid hand touch, the race will begin from the last checkpoint instead of “START” point.
  4. No test practice will be allowed on the main
  5. Terminals for charging the battery will not be provided in the
  6. The arena may subject to change before the commencement of any
  7. If the Robot crosses a check-point and moves off track, then the Robot would be placed back on the previous checkpoint crossed.
  8. The decision of the judges will be final and abiding. Argument with judges in any form will lead to the disqualification of the
  9. If the robot by any chances falls from the bridge, the robot will be kept back to the previous checkpoint crossed with a
  10. A total of 5 minutes runtime (arena time) will be given to every participant.
  11. A maximum of 3attempts will be allowed in this 5 minutes, the commencement of the second attempt will be on request of the participant and consent of the
  12. The better of 2 scores will be considered as final.
  13. If the total time taken by the robots exceeds 10 minutes, then the participant would be
  14. No readjustment will be allowed during the run.

  1. All regular students with a valid identity card of the irrespective educational institutes are eligible to participate in the event.
ELECTRONICS & TELECOMMUNICATION ENGINEERING

POSTER   PRESENTATION

Venue:- Network Power Lab

Entry Fees:- Rs.50/- Per Participant

Rules & regulations:

  1. A poster must be on the full imperial sheet.
  2. Maximum two students will be allowed in the group.
  3. A poster must include brief knowledge of the subject.
  4. Students can use supporting data, graphs, tables, sketches, photos.
  5. Group has to prepare the poster as per subject listed below-

Technical Subjects -5th Generation Wireless Technology/ 6th Sence Technology/ Artificial Intelligence

MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

TECHNICAL QUIZ

Venue:- Seminar Hall

Entry Fees:- Rs.50/- Per Participant

Rules & Regulations:

 

  1. A team shall consist of max two students.
  2. The decision of the quiz-master will be final and will not be subjected to any change.
  3. Participants shall not be allowed to use mobile or other electronic instruments.
  4. Questions shall be in the form of multiple choice,True / False statement & Specific-answer question etc.
  5. Audience shall not give any hints or clues to the competitors.

Elimination Round

  1. Each team would be given a set of question paper containing 15 multiple choice objective type questions.
  2. Time limit – 15 minutes.
  3. Only 4 Teams would be selected for final stage rounds.
  4. In case of tie between 2 or more teams, further 5 questions would be asked for final selection.
  5. The selected teams shall have to appear for the final round.

 

Final Quiz – Stage Rounds

Round 1: A question will be asked to a team and if they are unable to answer, it will be passed to the next team –

  1. Each team would be asked 2 questions each.(Objective type or specific answer questions)
  2. 10 marks for each correct answer.
  3. If a team cannot answer the question, they can pass the question & then the question would be forwarded to the next team.
  4. Answering time is only 20 seconds.
  5. Team discussion is allowed.

Round 2: Rapid Fire Round: –

Each team will be asked as many questions as possible one after another in one minute of time.

  1. 10 marks for the correct answer and negative 5 marks for the wrong answer
  2. Team discussion is allowed
  3. If a team cannot answer the question, they can say pass for the next question.

The question will not be forwarded to the next team.

Round 3 – Buzzer Round: –

A question will be fired & the team who presses the buzzer first gets to answer first.

  1. 10 mark for the correct answer and negative 5 marks for the wrong or if a team doesn’t answer after pressing the buzzer.
  2. Unanswered questions will not be forwarded.
  3. Answering time is only 05 seconds

Round 4 – Visual round : –

Teams will be shown clips and will have to answer.

  1. 10 marks for each correct answer.
  2. Each Team would be asked 2 visual questions.
  3. Visuals include images, processes, logos of automobile manufacturing companies etc.
  4. Answering time is only 20 seconds.
  5. No passing to the next team. Audience can answer.

 

PAPER PRESENTATION

Venue:- CAD Lab

Entry Fees:- Rs.50/- Per Participant

Rules and Regulations:-

  1. Number of participants in a Team is 2-4.
  2. Paper must be in two column IEEE format.
  3. Bring your Power Point presentation on a pen-drive.
  4. Mail your abstract, paper and PPT to sujit7375@gmail.com Difficulties will be addressed through the same email-id.
  5. Bring 2 hardcopies of the submitted paper on the day of the event.
  6. The teams will get 10 minutes for presentation followed by question and answer session. 
  7. Persons from different institutions can be a part of the same team. However, one person may not be a part of multiple teams for the same event.
  8. The mail with submissions should contain:
    1. Title- theme of the paper.
    2. Name of the authors.
    3. Phone no of the authors.
    4. E- Mail ID. 
  9. Paper must be preceded by a cover page specifying the title of the paper, names of authors and their college names as also their contact numbers and email ids.
  10. Bring your college I-Card & receipt on event day.
  11. The decision of judges will be final and no arguments or appeal will be entertained.
